A childhood dancer, Oliver Pavick, has studied ballet and jazz for many years. He began to perform seriously when invited to dance in the ballet version of “Sleeping Beauty” with the Lisa Applegate Dance Company. After high school, Oliver lived in Japan for one year. While there, he was introduced to fire performance. His tool repertoire now includes fire poi, fire hoop, single and double staves. In 2007, Oliver decided to leave his native Davis to move to the Bay Area to expand his performance skills. Upon arrival, Oliver began studies at the San Francisco Circus Center in Rope Climbing, Aerial Silks, Trapeze and Contortion. In spring 2008, Oliver joined Copper Lantern to integrate his diverse movement interests, while exploring new realms of Bay Area performance art.
